Dear Diary,
Before I left my dear homeland again, all my friends made me promise to send them a bunch of pictures of my latest adventure. Two weeks ago I moved back to Cape Town, South Africa. This time to study my masters in international criminal and humanitarian law. Sadly, I have struggled a little to get a working internet access and to complete my enrollment as a student but it seems like I have finally registered today and am on my way to a nice welcoming dinner in Stellenbosch tonight!
I am currently staying closer to central Cape Town with my (foster) sister and have been enjoying (and getting sick from) the lovely African sun. As I mentioned, the first weeks have been very hectic but I wouldn’t change a thing! I’ve already had the chance to chill with my family in Strand, enjoy the beaches of Camp’s Bay and Clifton and the student madness in Stellies (Stellenbosch for us locals). Stellies is a fantastic student city and Wednesdays are the day so tonight will surely be fun. For the weekend, I am heading to central CT with some of my friends to really spend a city weekend and to get away from all the students. After nearly three years, I do have to say that I am excited to be a student again even though this time I am looking to stay in central Cape Town and to get a part-time job in the legal field. That is yet to be fully sorted but we are getting there.
Chat with you shortly! Enjoy your weekend. I am off to Central Cape Town with my new German friend gang and shall be telling you all the best bits of it shortly.
PS. I also finally managed to complete my enrollment and am now officially a student of the SU! Exciting times.
Best wishes,
Mira
